A'shop "Notre-Dame-de-Grâce/ Our Lady of Grace" Mural |For 16 days straight, from dawn to dusk, five highly determined Montreal-based artists (who make up the artist run collective (A'shop) worked on a graffiti mural of a Mother Nature-esque Madonna or a modern-day version of "Our Lady of Grace." Inspired by Czech Art Nouveau painter Alphonse Mucha, the crew created this breathtakingly beautiful five story mural using 500 cans of spray paint in over 50 different colors. The A'shop crew hopes this project will encourage other city boroughs to consider murals of their own. "Our city has way too much gray. So I hope this [mural] kickstarts a mural campaign." To really appreciate the time and effort that went into this massive mural, here is a video that was taken over the 16 day period. I really like the Body Shop's 'Tea Tree Oil' products. I also have oily skin and they really work for me (: They have everything from face washes to moisturizers, even tea tree oil cover up! I would definitely recommend it, especially because it also helps treat and prevent acne!

A Woman, A Gun and a Noodle ShopIn a small desert town near Jiayu Pass in China (the first pass at the west end of the Great Wall), Wang owns a noodle shop where he, his wife and his employees also live. Not exactly a loving boss, he spends every penny to his own advantage, owing his workers their wages for months. Miserable from suffering with Wang's dark temper and abuse, his wife has an affair with Li, who can spin round sheets of noodle dough nimbly but never shows the same confidence outside the kitchen. Every time Li drives her to buy rouge, the two have sex in the carriage. One day, to Li's dismay, she purchases a gun from a Persian merchant, claiming that only Wang's death can guarantee their happiness. Never a match for her biting wit and tongue, Li agrees to hide the weapon. Meanwhile, waiter Zhao and patrol officer Zhang -- both bribed by the cunning Wang -- inform him of the gun and the affair respectively. After catching her wife red-handed and grappling wit h her during one of her rouge trips, Wang resorts to paying Zhang to kill the illicit lovers. The day after, Zhang returns with a blood-stained piece of clothing and fiercely pierced woman's underwear. In his client's secret chamber, Zhang waits for his reward and, all of a sudden, shoots Wang with Li's gun he found earlier. As Wang lies completely motionless, Zhang struggles to open the safe but fails. Outside, Zhao and waitress Chen are arguing about whether they should sneak in and 'steal' their wages from the safe. As the door ...

Apple this weekend announced an update for the Verizon version of the iPhone 5 that resolves an issue whereby the smartphone continued to consume data when connected to a Wi-Fi network.
"This carrier settings update resolves an issue in which, under certain circumstances, iPhone 5 may use Verizon cellular data while the phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network. Follow these instructions to install the update," according to a note on Apple website.
Many smartphone users connect their phones to Wi-Fi networks while at home or work, which - in theory - should prevent the phones from eating into their data plans. But shortly after the iPhone 5 made its debut in the U.S. on Sept. 21, Verizon users took to the Apple forums to complain about data consumption over Wi-Fi.

"The first two days after I received my iPhone 5, I racked up 400MB of Cellular Data. 99% of the time I was using my phone, I was connected over WiFi," wrote DJPlayedYA. "So I ran a test on my own by watching a YouTube video over WiFi and then looking at my Cellular Data under the Usage menu. Sure enough, it had went up by around 10MB. I called into Apple Support and asked them what was going on. They thought that it might have been a problem with my phone or my house's WiFi connection. After them walking me through a series of test and restores, the lady semi-acknowledged that it could be a problem with how their phone interacts with the new LTE network."
Another user, seven8nine, said he tested the Wi-Fi problem by putting the phone on Wi-Fi about 8 feet away from his access point before going to bed. "In the morning it had used 300KB of data. That is not a lot of data, but why did it use any? I also had every setting I can find set to not use cellular data."
It appears those and other users were on to something, and by Sunday, an update was available for users experiencing the data drain problems.
To install the update, tap Settings > General > About on the iPhone 5. An pop-up alert with "Carrier Settings Updated" should appear; tap OK to install. You'll then have to shut down the phone and power it back on to activate the update. To make sure it's installed, navigate to Settings > General > About again and make sure it says "Verizon 13.1."

Iran has reportedly restored access to Google Search and Gmail, following a week of limited access that was implemented in response to an anti-Islam film posted to YouTube.
The country's telecommunications ministry committee said the Gmail block was involuntary and related to the country's ban on Google-owned YouTube.
"We do not have enough technical know-how to differentiate between these two services," committee member Mohammad Reza Miri said, as reported by the AFP.
The video-sharing site has been completely off limits to Iranian Internet users since 2009. Iran's telecommunications ministry is working to block YouTube under the HTTPS protocol, while leaving Gmail accessible.
The film in question, Innocence of Muslims, was uploaded to YouTube in July, prompting demonstrations in the Middle East. When U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were killed on Sept. 11 in Libya, the attack was reportedly related to the movie, while others said it was pre-planned.
This is not the first time Iranian officials have taken steps to censor the Web - or targeted Google. Back in May, Iran was irked that Google removed the name of the Persian Gulf on Google Maps and threatened to sue the search giant unless the name was restored.
In the same month, the country's telecommunications minister bannedZIFFARTICLE> telephone companies, banks, and insurance firms from using foreign email services, including Gmail, Yahoo Mail, or Microsoft's Hotmail.
Google keeps tabs on worldwide user access to its services via its Transparency Report, which noted a steep decline in Gmail usage during the last week. Google Search traffic, however, was steady despite the reportedly spotty access.
To avoid foreign content and services, Iran is allegedly developing its own closed version of the Web, expected to remain free of content deemed un-Islamic, the AFP reported. The country's intranet will exist alongside the filtered Internet, but will not replace it.
